Bagel Beasts

Cooking with kids is a great way to get them to eat healthy. These bagel beasts require no cooking, so even the young tots can make them.

  1. 3 whole wheat bagels
  2. ¾ lb low fat cream cheese
  3. 4 whole carrots
  4. 4 whole cherry tomatoes
  5. ½ cup black olives, sliced
  6. 2 whole red bell pepper
  7. 10 leafs basil, fresh
  8. ½ cup Chinese noodles

You may also need:

Bowl, Butter Knife, Kitchen Knife

Step 1:

Spread the cream cheese on the cut bagels (going gently over the hole).

Step 2:

Slice carrots lengthwise.

Step 3:

Slice tomatoes and cut each slice in half.

Step 4:

Slice peppers into strips.

Step 5:

Set out bowls of vegetables and crunchy noodles and let the kids turn the bagels into animal or monster faces, like this happy mouse with olives eyes, tomato and basil ears, carrot nose, bell pepper mouth, and Chinese noodle whiskers.
