Asian Turkey Meatloaf

Wow is all I can say about this recipe. The sweet chili sauce gives this lean meatloaf zing and flavor like no other.

Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. 1 tablespoon canola oil
  2. 1 onion, chopped (1 cup)
  3. 2 garlic cloves, minced
  4. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  5. 1 × ½ cup sweet chili sauce
  6. 1 ¾ pounds ground turkey, 97% lean
  7. ¾ cup dry breadcrumbs
  8. 1 large egg, lightly beaten

You may also need:

Aluminum Foil, Bowl, Oven, Skillet, Spoon

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 375°.


Step 2:

Heat oil in medium skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook, stirring frequently, until soft, about 5 minutes. Add garlic, cook, stirring, 1 minute. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon chili sauce; transfer mixture to a large bowl, and cool.


Step 3:

Add turkey, breadcrumbs, egg and mix well.


Step 4:

Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and coat lightly with cooking spray. Form the turkey mixture into a loaf, and place on the pan. Brush meatloaf evenly with remaining chili sauce. Bake 1 hour or until thermometer inserted into center registers 170°. Let meatloaf stand 5 minutes before serving.
