I have my 9 yr old border collie on your Dia-IonX for 2 mos now, 1/2 tsps. per day. In the last month he's had some bleeding from his mouth, we see it when he drinks after he eats his dry dog food(he eats the dry food just fine). Could your product have anything to do with this? He seems to have a little more energy but still drinks & pees a lot. The other concern I have is that he has lost a lot of weight, any suggestions on how to put some weight back on him? Any dog food recommendations? Right now he is on Kirkland premium chicken & rice. There is so much out there that it is really confusing, my vet recommends Iams, I don't like that brand. Thanks for any help you can give me. -Diana-

Dear Diana,

Your veterinarian should look in your dog's mouth for gum or dental disease. It is unlikely our product has anything to do with this. Diabetics are prone to infections.

You could try the premium salmon food at Costco. I have seen dog's do well on it, even though it cost half of what the owner was spending on premium pet store food. What supplements are you currently giving? Co-enzyme Q10 would be helpful in addition to MSM, Vitamin C, Fish Oil and a Probiotic. The Fish oil would also provide calories.

Best regards,
