Health Questions & Answers

Hi Dr. Wilson, We have a 5yr old female German-Shorthair recently diagnosed with EPI and SIBO, both of which we have had great success with on enzyme and B12. From 51lbs to 73lbs in 2 months! However, my long haired, never a skin problem ever girl has lost hair and is short and dry coated with itchy under belly, legs and anywhere else she can chew or scratch. We have her on salmon oil capsules but not working as it seems. Can she tolerate your Derma-IonX safely? -Karen-

Dear Karen,

Derma-IonX should be fine for your dog. Derma-IonX which is an oral homeopathic product stimulates the enzyme systems in the body which reduces itching and inflammation , promotes healing of the skin and helps with assimilation of nutritional components in diet and supplements. The supplements I use along with it include digestive enzymes, probiotics, vitamin C, MSM, and fish oil. Together with Derma-IonX it produces a synergistic effect for a faster response. It can also be used topically where there are troublesome spots on the skin. I would also suggest that you give your dog only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications you might want to try a grain free diet for a while and make sure to give enough probiotics.

Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
