Health Questions & Answers

My 105 lb., male dog, Max, is having severe problems with, I believe, a yeast infection. He is on Prednisone which I hate but it is the only thing that stops his intense scratching and his entire body turns red with hair loss. Will your product help him? I am also using NUVET PLUS, which I found on line, since 11/24/12 but it does not seem to help at all! I will give it a full 2 months at 3 tabs a day but so far no go. I have tried so many different foods to no avail. Help!!! I feel so bad for him. -Shelli-

Dear Shelli,

You might want to look at two of our products, Derma-IonX and Derma-IonX shampoo to help heal the skin. Derma-IonX which is an oral homeopathic product stimulates the enzyme systems in the body which reduces itching and inflammation, promotes healing of the skin and helps with assimilation of nutritional components in diet and supplements. The supplements I use along with it include Canine probiotics, vitamin C, MSM, and Omega 3,6,9. Together with Derma-IonX it produces a synergistic effect for a faster response. I would also suggest that you give your dog only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications you might want to try a grain free diet for a while. Since your dog's skin is probably quite warm, a cooling diet would be advised, using fish or turkey as the protein source if your dog is not allergic to them.

Derma-IonX shampoo which was designed to fight against fleas and mites also washes away debris and soothes the skin. Using both products is a simple and effective way of helping resolve a difficult condition.

Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
