I am using the Arthro-IonX for the last 3 months just found out my dog has degenerative myelopathy not hip dysphasia or arthritis. Should I switch to use the Promaxol? I am sure he does have arthritis too, he has been crying at night a little, which I would believe he needs a little stronger pain killer I have been using Arthro-IonX twice a day. It seems to help, but what are your thoughts? Thank you, Patti

Dear Patti, I would give a half dose of Promaxol with breakfast and a half dose of Arthro-IonX with supper. At bedtime, I would give 2 pellets of Conium 30C (from the health food store) for 3 weeks.

You might want to give digestive enzymes if you you are not giving any.  If your dog tends to be warm (seeking cool) then tend to feed more cooling foods such as salmon or turkey rather than more chicken.

Please let us know how you do.
