Health Questions & Answers

My 11 yr old dog was just diagnosed with diabetes mellitus the vet said the treatment was very expensive and the prognosis was very poor. He is still eating and drinking--excessive amounts of water, and excessive urinating. I don't understand how Dia-Ionx works--reading your site--it looks like he still needs insulin immediately in conjunction with your product. Can you tell me where to start? Thanks. -Cheryl-

Dear Cheryl,

It is best to do both insulin to bring the glucose levels down to a more acceptable level and Dia-IonX to help with the symptoms and stimulate the body to heal. The therapeutic mineral base helps activate the enzyme systems in the body that help with healing. In addition give digestive enzymes with each meal, a probiotic, MSM, and a fish oil supplement daily. Dia-IonX will help the body better utilize the other supplements for a faster response.

In addition make sure that you offer sufficient water free of chlorine and fluoride. A regular exercise schedule is also helpful in moving glucose from the blood and into the muscles which will reduce the blood glucose.

It is important that you monitor the blood glucose levels so that you can ask your veterinarian about adjusting the insulin dosage when necessary.

Please let us know how you progress and if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
