My 10 month old Dalmatian girl gets these crusty little spots on her back, I suspect that it is an inflamed hair follicle that uses puss, which crusts up and looks like acne. Eventually the hair falls out. Sometimes she has more of them, sometimes less. She loves to swim in the ocean every day (I live in Miami beach- humidity?) Do you think your product would help? Thank you so much for your help. I have her from Dalmatian rescue and at our last fundraiser, I saw that lots of Dalmatians suffer from that! If I found a solution it would definitely be very popular amongst the Dalmatian community.  Regards, Anja with Charlie

Dear Anja,

You might want to look at two of our products, Derma-IonX and Defendex shampoo to help heal the skin. Derma-IonX which is an oral homeopathic product stimulates the enzyme systems in the body which reduces itching and inflammation , promotes healing of the skin and helps with assimilation of nutritional components in diet and supplements. The supplements I use along with it include digestive enzymes, probiotics, vitamin C, MSM, and fish oil. Together with Derma-IonX it produces a synergistic effect for a faster response. It can also be used topically if there are troublesome spots on the skin.

I would also suggest that you give your dog only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications you might want to try a grain free diet for a while. I would choose turkey or fish as the protein source because these are considered to more cooling than chicken or lamb. (The skin already has enough heat) If there is a known allergy to a food, then don't use it.

Defendex shampoo which was designed to fight against fleas and mites also washes away debris and soothes the skin. Using both products is a simple and effective way of helping resolve a difficult condition.

Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
