My Lab is 12 years old and has become blind in both eyes. One eye has a preasure of 14 while the other is 48. Our Vet says she would most likely not make it through eye surgery. He suggested that we put her down. He gave her pain meds, but they just confuse her and make her sleepy. She gets around well and we don't want to lose her just for being blind. Is there anything to lessen the preasure and releave the little pain she may be in? Thank you, -Kat-

Dear Kathleen,

Have you seen an ophthalmologist? Are you using eye drops? You might also try veterinary acupuncture. There are different causes of glaucoma and thus also different treatments. You could try our homeopathic product called Dia-IonX. It contains a homeopathic remedy, Phosphorous, that is sometimes used for inflammation and glaucoma.

Please let us know how you do.

Best regards,

Dr. Char
