Health Questions & Answers

Our 11 year old Tibetan Mastiff Xrays and ultrasound show massive growth in the liver and several in lungs, along with fluid. Awaiting the pathology but both Vets say probably no treatment, maybe chemo, which we don't want to do. First gave us Tramadol HCL 50 mg (1-1/2 every 12 hrs) but makes him totally drowsy and constipated. One suggests Prednisone to keep him comfortable -- absolutely not after reading of the side effects. Can you recommend a natural pain treatment for such heavy duty pain?  -Sharon-

Dear Sharon,

I would try Promaxol to reduce the pain. Promaxol would be a good choice because it contains the stronger LM potencies. In addition, it is helpful to give Canine Probiotics with each meal, Omega 3,6,9, and vitamin C daily. The oligotherapeutic mineral base found in the IONX products helps the body to better utilize the other nutritional substances given for a synergistic response and faster healing. Also be sure to give sufficient fresh water that is free of chlorine and fluoride. If you can gradually phase into a grain free diet that can be helpful too. I would also recommend veterinary acupuncture. That veterinarian might use Chinese herbs or natural hydrocortisone in addition to the acupuncture.

Please let us know how you progress or if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
