DIY Lip Balm: A Delicious Alternative

I used to be a heavy consumer of brands like Lip Smacker and ChapStick, but now I feel as if I have turned over a new leaf. I recently discovered lip balm recipes that can be just as rewarding as buying those products, but without the added chemicals. 

Here are some lip balm recipes I found, that I definitely want to try. (And you should too!)

Lemon Zest Lip Balm

2 oz olive oil

1.5 oz beeswax

4 tbsp lemon zest, dried

4 drops rosemary essential oil

1 Vitamin E tablet

Strawberry Lip Balm

 2 tbsp white beeswax pellets

4 tbsp sunflower oil

Few drops strawberry flavor oil

Lipstick shavings (any color you want)

Peppermint Lip Balm

 ½ cup coconut oil

1 oz beeswax

3-5 drops Vitamin E oil

3-5 drops Peppermint essential oil

Try these homemade recipes, and if you are daring, try to make your own flavor! You may just find that you won't go back to buying products, and become a fan of your own customized lip balms. I know for sure I am excited to try some of these, they sound amazing!
