[Yoga 101] The Warrior
The Warrior is the perfect yoga move to strengthen your thigh and calf muscles. It also teaches balance and perseverance because it can be difficult to remain in this position for long. Hence it's name: The Warrior.
Step 1: Stand up straight with palms together
Step 2: Turn to your right side and position your front leg directly straight
Step 3: Position your back leg at a 30 degree angle.
Step 4: Lean forward with both legs set in their position
Step 5: Stretch your hands out. You are in The Warrior.
Step 6: To get more of a stretch, lower the center of your body.
