Cat Diabetes

My Sweetie Pie rescue cat of 6 yrs. has just been diagnosed with diabetes. I am against insulin shots and just ordered your DIA-IONX. Sweetie Pie is a domestic blk/wht med. haired cat and has been peeing all over the house. He used to go outside. He is now eating Purina One SmartBlend Hairball Formula dry food as he would not eat canned wet food. I am on my way to buy a whole rotissire chicken from Costco to add to his dry food for more protein. What about canned tuna? Any suggestions and information would be most appreciated. Sweetie Pie would not eat wet canned food in the past.

Difficulty in walking for an old dog

Dear Doctor, My dog is a 14.5 years old Austrarian Shepherd. Two years ago, he suffered from difficulty in walking. We gave him Arthro-ionx and he recovered extremely well. Since then we kept Arthro-ionx mixed in his meals and he was just fine walking around. However, he has had his tumor which was originally suggested to be lipoma keep growing over the past two years. It is now a size of a basketball on his right abdomen. Apparently, it is not so aggressive, but lately, he is suffering from major muscle wasting. He once again experiencing trouble walking. He has trouble standing up on a hard wood floor. He spent a lots of time lying flat on the floor. When he eats, he keeps this posture and has the bowl between two frongt legs far apart. When we take him out for a walk, he stands still a lots of times without walking. We give him Pet Welbeing Life Gold, Milk Thistle in addition to Arthro-ionx. Is there any other supplement I should give (like Omega 3 and others)? If so, where shall I buy them for dogs? He eats very well (home made stew with organic chicken with cabbage and carrots, or beaf and pork) Please advise. I want to give him a combination of good supplements so that he feels comfortable and live as long as possible. thank you very much, Terumi Kohwi-Shigematsu

Diabetic Cat

My cat has been diagnosed with diabetes. He went in for a curve and was given Novolin. his blood sugar crashed and they had to give him serum to bring it back up. It was a traumatic experience for him and I. I was told to try just food but his sugar has gone high again. It is around 350-400. Do you think that the Vetionx is something worth trying. I honestly don't trust the vet we were seeing anymore and am scared to try insulin again. Thanks
