Pain relief in old dogs

Hi. I have two dogs going on 14 this summer. My female had TPLO surgery in both back knees about 4 years ago. For a while now I have noticed the struggle for her to get up is harder and harder . I feel, no doubt, arthritis is in her back hips. I give her Cosequin joint supplement every day. I also give her phenobarbital daily. Would there be any effects if I started giving her the Arthro-IonX? Thank you, Scott.

Diabetic Pug, insulin dependent

Hi, My 11yr. old Pug Reuben is now diabetic, he gets 7units insulin 2x a day. sleeps most of the time, urinates every 2.5 hrs, but his bowel movements are fine. He eats very good but drinks a lot of water. Another concern is he gets up 2 to 3x a night to go outside to do his business. My question is, does your product DIA-IONX help him sleep at night? or will his body have the same effect as it does now on his insulin? My concern is he wakes everyone up at night, and nobody gets a sound sleep as we did in the past. He is now blind, which adds stress on the dog. This came up all of a sudden, within 2 weeks this all happened. We took him to the Vet, they recommended insulin. His ketones are just a trace, his suger still runs borderline high though, but in range according to his Vet Doctor. My concern is How long does a bottle of your product last if it is in comparison to 14 units of injections per day. how much pr ltr. of consertrated liquid is equivalent to a unit of insulin? This is a determining factor I have. And will he sleep at night? I'm new at Diabetic for dogs, and am looking for any way to help him through his senior years. As of now his quality of life sucks. He was blindsided as we were from this condition. We feel really bad for him, but want the best. Sticking him with needles every day is heartbreaking. Thats why I'm looking for an alternitive. HOW MUCH WOULD ONE BOTTLE LAST? Thanks for answering my question. I look foward to hearing from you. Joe

Diabetes in my cat

Three months ago my cat was diagonosed w/diabetes. My Veterinary ordered Lantos to give him; he is also on Gabapentin. At first he was chasing his tail and pulling at fur on his side. So, off to the Vet we go and she puts him on Lantos. Also drinking a lot of water. Well, things were well and all of a sudden in December, he started doing the same things. Only this time he took a big chunk out of his side. I took him to the Vet; complained about his insulin; when I got this insulin in Oct. he did just fine; now, however, he has started chasing his tail, etc. The Vet told me his insulin was OK. When I questioned her about the looks of the insulin, which was cloudy at first, and is now clear, she said that it was fine. She also told me that he was 96 - not sure what that means. Now she wants to put him on Amitriptolyne (?), in addition to the insulin and Gabapentin. I really am at my wits end. Does this seem like the right thing to be done? Please help me. Appreciate anything you can tell me. Muriel A. Hallett catlady352@aol.com
