Can I give my child smaller doses of adult cough and cold medicine?

I do not recommend you doing that until checking with a doctor or pharmacist because drug manufacturers change the strength levels of their medication between child medicines and adult medicines. If done this could lead to the child being poisoned by the medicine. But, if you console your doctor their may be a certain amount the doctor will say you can give your child so they will be okay all you have to do is give the doctor the age and weight of your child and they will be able to provide you with some good information on the matter.
