Our cat has diabetes. He receives 2.5 ml in am and pm with his meals. We give him variety of raw, freeze-dry raw, can, and dry. They are all natural and organic. He gets a really great digest-all plus, we put in his food. He eats well, but seems to be hungry all the time and lacks in some energy. His blood sugar level is between 270 and 300. Our vet is happy with that. I showed our vet Dia-IonX. He is western, but he said that it wouldn't hurt for Oscar to try this, but the vet didn't think it would help or work. Our vet said he didn't know anything natural ways. I do know about natural ways. I wanted your input on if you really think it would help our boy. I just feel bad he seems to feel hungry a lot and his energy is sometimes good but not always and he is not even 7 till May 2013. Thank you and appreciate your help! May God bless you and family in this new year! Look forward in hearing from you! -Ruth-

Dear Ruth,

Dia-IonX can be helpful in reducing the symptoms of diabetes. I usually suggest giving a cat 10 drops twice daily with meals. If possible try to not feed dry food because it makes it harder to get better regulation. Dry food tends to be higher in carbohydrates and stresses the pancreas. I would also give digestive enzymes that include pancreatic enzymes, probiotics, and fish oil.

Best regards,
