Tumi, is a 5 yrs.old male cat that lives in Argentina and it has Leukemia & HIV, every time he has a seizure, his Vet, gives him a shot of Interferon, which helps him for about one to two weeks.  I want to know if you have any other medicine to help Tumi to avoid so many shots. Thank you in advance for any help that you can give us on this matter. Sincerely -Leon-

Dear Leon,

I would try Dia-IonX because it contains homeopathic remedies that are recommended for cats with Feline Leukemia. Dia-IonX which is an oral homeopathic product stimulates the enzyme systems in the body which reduces inflammation , promotes healing and helps with assimilation of the diet and nutritional supplements. I like to give digestive enzymes, probiotics, and fish oil. Vitamin C 250 mg/day, B vitamins, and Cordyceps are helpful in Feline Leukemia. I have also used Feline Immune System Support by Standard Process. Other things that I have used are Colloidal Silver and Chinese Herbals. One of them is Wei Qi Booster. If you can find a veterinarian that is trained in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine he or she could prescribe other Chinese Herbals depending upon your cat's symptoms. I would also suggest that you give your cat only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications you might want to try a grain free diet for a while or at least avoid any GMO ingredients.

Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
