Health Questions & Answers

My 5 year old, male, indoor cat has licked/chewed his abdomen bald and caused himself scabs. He does not have fleas and eats Blue Buffalo Basic food.  Would any of your products be benefical to him? I don't want to put him on anti-anxiety prescription meds if I can avoid it. -Kim-

Dear Kim,

You could try Anxietrex for your cat. It helps pets deal with various causes of anxiety. Sometimes it is hard to determine the stimulus. You can also team it up with Chill Out Chews. It is calming. I would also suggest you ask your veterinarian when the last stool sample was checked. Parasites can sometimes cause cats to groom excessively.

Does this get worse at certain times of the month or year? I would also give digestive enzymes, probiotics, and Omega 3,6,9. These can nourish and soothe the skin.

Looking forward to your reply.

Best regards,

Dr. Char
