I spoke with Julie (she is amazing and so caring on your order line), and she suggested I send you a questionary email. My little min-pin was 193 urine stick about 4 days ago. I tested at home with Diastick and see only dark brown with 2000+ and 2%. What does this mean and is it reliable? I don't know what to think.....What now? I really need your advice in how to proceed with Sara. She drinks and piddles frequently. Little appetite now. I'm afraid that she needs insulin. Can you advise me what to do? Thank you so much, Jeanne

Dear Jeanne,

It means there is a lot of glucose in the urine which indicates that it came from very high blood levels. You need to call your veterinarian immediately. She probably will need insulin and perhaps fluid therapy.

Please let us know what happens and if you like we can discuss what other holistic measures besides insulin that can help improve the situation.

Best regards,

Dr. Char
