My cat has been pulling his fur out on his back when he's grooming himself. He was given a cortisone shot by a Vet which stopped his hair pulling for three months. When it started again I decided to try a natural product, knowing that cortisone has side affects if used long term.I've been giving him Derma-IonX for 1 month now and he's still pulling his hair out. Does this mean it isn't going to work or could it just take more time. I know that natural products take time. Thanks, Virginia

Dear Virginia,

It might still work since sometimes it can take a few months especially since you have had to resort to using steroids before. I would try giving a half dose of Derma-IonX twice daily on the food. What kind of food are you giving? Grain free food could be beneficial. Are you giving supplements? The supplements I use along with Derma-IonX include digestive enzymes, probiotics, and fish oil. I would also suggest that you give your cat only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride.

Please ask your veterinarian when the last stool sample was checked. If it has been a while bring a sample in for analysis. Sometimes internal parasites can influence the skin. Has your cat ever had any fleas? Please keep us updated on your progress.

Best wishes,
