Health Questions & Answers

I recently ran across an article that explained how a little or a lot of anxiety can be a good thing.

"New research has shown that the enemy within, the scourge of my life and the lives of many others, can not only be beneficial but can help us reach the top, to succeed, even excel."

Anxiety can challenge us to achieve to our potential, work well in the workplace and advance us in our careers.

What is YOUR take on this? How much anxiety is a good thing? When does it become a bad thing?

I definitely think that anxiety is a good thing! If we didn't have it deadlines would never be met and relationships would disintegrate. I feel super bad for people that have over anxiety though! I've heard of people getting physically ill over an invitation to a gathering! That would be horrible...but in small amounts anxiety helps us live right??

I tend to agree with Dayton. We do need some anxiety in our lives, or else our adrenaline would never move and we would be bored all the time. But the trouble is, it isn't just coming from momentary panic in our lives. The anxiety we have is long-lasting, painful fear of monetary, social or emotional woes. That type of anxiety is not good for anyone.

I can not see how anxiety can be good, I am so tired and exhausted of it. I just want it to go away. I have back pains, stomach pains sometimes, feel like I have skin burns, feel like I am wearing socks of needls on my legs (knee down), feel like my skin on my face is numbing. Sometimes when it gets worse i feel like I have hot blood going thru my veins, also I feel inside like my body is screaming, but when you look at me you wouldn't know something is wrong. I also feel like I have something stuck in my throat and pressure in my ears. I have taken every test at the doctor and everything came back normal and a lot of people tell me that is based on the nervous system. Oooooh i am so tired of it :(
