ADD And Gaming

By Michael More Blogs by This Author

Hey everyone. I am gonna quickly write about me and a friends experience on living with ADD. We find it fun to have ADD because it makes us different, we get special treatment in exams and we don't stress much with our marks because we know that we cant do brilliantly even if we tried.

So instead of wasting our time and energy studying hard when we know that nothing is going in, we decided to divert our attention to gaming. That was a great move for us as we realised that we get more focused in the games that we play than we do in school and we are now forming a team to enter championships in the awesome game of League of Legends and DOTA 2.

So I don't think that ADD is something bad, I think it is something good because it made me good in gaming and it is gonna pay off very soon.

Thank you for your time. Will write again soon on updated information. Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

  • Michael, while I dig that you are a dedicated gamer and I think your experience with schooling is rather telling, giving up on the education process may hinder your dreams. The programming community is extremely competitive today and an education is a necessity in order to compete for the top jobs.

That being said, there are many faults with the education system, one being the inherent lack of connectivity with the current generation of students. Still, the hoops need to be jumped through and the certificates of completion need to be garnered.

Good luck man, I hope to be playing something with your name on it soon.
